About Me

Representative

Palm Beach County has been my home for the last 20 years. I had the great honor of serving this community as State Representative in Tallahassee, representing Wellington, Greenacres, and Lake Worth, much of the same area I hope to represent again on the Palm Beach County Commission in District 6.

I also served on the Board of Commissioners for the Port of Palm Beach, where I had the honor of serving as President of the Commission and gained firsthand knowledge of one of our county's most important economic assets. Before all of this, I was proud to earn my degree in Economics from the University of Virginia and my MBA from Palm Beach County's own Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Community service, in my opinion, goes far beyond running for office. It is rooted in volunteerism, activism, and advocacy. I have tried to serve communities throughout Palm Beach County in a variety of ways. I have had the pleasure of serving on the Board of Advisors for the Salvation Army, where I also chaired its Capital Assets Committee. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience, one that has strengthened my commitment to serving our community and prepared me to continue that work as a County Commissioner.

On top of that, I have also served on the boards of the Boys & Girls Club of Palm Beach County, the Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency, and the Palm Beach County Business Development Board, where I took an active role in helping shape our county and expand the opportunities that our next generation deserves. I have also been a dedicated advocate for environmental stewardship, working to protect our water quality, restore the Everglades, and safeguard the coastline that makes our community such a special place to live.

I was truly devastated by the destruction that Hurricanes Irma and Maria brought to the Caribbean. As a result, I rolled up my sleeves and co-founded Palm Beach County Cares, an organization dedicated to collecting and donating both funds and supplies to help rebuild key infrastructure and communities in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Of all the titles I've held, the one I'm most proud of is the one I haven't mentioned yet: Mom and Grandma. I am the proud mother of three wonderful children, Mary Kate, Joseph, and Luke, and the proud grandmother of Hunter, Tucker, and Trip.

My commitment to leadership, service, and improving the lives of others has guided me throughout my career. Through my work in public office and community organizations, I have sought to make a lasting, positive impact on Palm Beach County and beyond, and I remain dedicated to fostering positive change in the community I am honored to serve.
